Situated at 1514 m (nearly 5,000 feet) above sea level in the Obersulzbach Valley, Berndlalm is a popular destination and starting point for nature lovers, hikers and mountain bikers. We spoil our guests with hearty snacks, tasty hut delicacies and homemade cakes and pastries while they enjoy magnificent views of the Großen Geiger and the snow-capped summits of the Hohe Tauern. Our cosy rooms and dormitories offer our guests a relaxing stay. Guests of all ages feel at home on holiday as if they were on a farm – surrounded by lush alpine meadows and local animals in our petting zoo.
The walking time from Neukirchen is about 3 hours. If you're driving, you can get to the Hopffeldboden car park in the Obersulzbach valley, which lies about 1.5 hours away on foot. Finally, if you like it cosy, let us recommend our Venediger taxi (booking necessary).
From the beginning of May, we are the starting point for tourists and earlier taxi transfers are available until the entry point. Depending on the weather, the Berndlalm remains open daily from approx. the beginning of May to approx. mid-October.
